I have a new article in the July/August 2024 edition of Computers in Libraries! It’s titled Why Your Library Needs a Multimedia Studio and How to Add One. Go read it!

In the article, I focus on:

• Different types of studios, prom editing labs to recording studios, and then some.
• Examples of libraries that have different types of studios. There are quite a few these days! In fact, the 2023 Public Library Technology Survey done by PLA says that about 25% of public libraries have some type of digital media production equipment for customers to use.
• Things to Consider. Finally, some things to consider when creating a multimedia or studio space in your library.
